Mayor Vince Teddy was elected to the NWTAC Board of Directors during the 2026 AGM. Vince lives in Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories and is presently Mayor of the hamlet for a three-year term. Vince has served his community as a hamlet councillor, chairman of the Tuktoyaktuk Community Corporation, as a self-government negotiator for the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation and in many other capacities. Vince has 11 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vince loves the traditional Inuvialuit lifestyle such as subsistence hunting fishing and whale hunting.
