Patsy (Pat) Klengenberg was elected Mayor of the Hamlet of Ulukhaktok in December 2024. Pat has spent five years, including this year, as President of the Olokhaktomiut Hunters and Trappers Committee. He also served four years with the Inuvialuit Game Council, two of those years as treasurer. Pat spent two years as Chair of the Ulukhaktok Community Corporation and two years on the Inuvialuit Board of Directors. Pat stared his working career with 18 years as an Observer Communicator at the local airport, 12 years as resident manager. After that he worked three years as a Mechanic Apprentice, two years as Power Plant Operator, two years as Building Maintainer, four years as Community Programs Coordinator with Aurora College and now currently as Housing Manager for Ulukhaktok. Pat has five children, two grandchildren and he is working on a deaconship through online training with Arthur Turner Training School with the Anglican Diocese.
